After reading Lois' post yesterday about the '100 Happy Days' project, I decided that - because I all too often get bogged down and lost in the things can make me feel unhappy (hello, hair-mare!) - I'll throw caution to the wind and take part, in the hope that I'll find time each day to focus on those things - all of them, even the little ones - that make me happy.
The idea is that every day (for 100, duh!) I'm to submit a picture of what has made me happy, be it drinking a good (strong) cup of tea (which I'm sure will be the case more often than not), meeting a friend for a heart-filled catch-up, having a bubble bath or just completing revision for the day (which, where January is concerned, is certainly why I tend towards that happy feeling when it comes evening-time!). I'll be uploading my photos via instagram (and then sharing them via twitter!) using the suggested hashtag - #100happydays - but also with the (rather meaty) #toristales100happydays (sorry about that!) so you can follow along! I've added a button on my sidebar (as you can see - this photo is of me and the boy in front of Loch Ness, in case anyone was wondering!) so you can click and take a look as you please! Oh, and if you are also joining in, be sure to let me know below!
I kicked it all off with a certain special something that arrived in the post.
This is such a lovely idea Tori! I'm terrible at keeping to these sorts of projects but can't wait to follow yours and read all about it! xx

Thank you, also, for your comment on our charity shop challenge post. YOUR DAD IS AN ANTIQUES RESTORER?! THAT'S SO COOL, TORI!! - Bee, tftc.
Fabulous idea! I look forward to the future posts in this theme :)
ReplyDeleteOh, and Happy New Year! xx
Hello! This is my first comment in your blog. I decided to follow your advice and comment those blogs I truly connect with to let them know they are being read, so here it is!
ReplyDeleteI am all for starting new projects and goals this new year, this one in particular sounds like an awesome idea, specially to remind yourself to be content with life.
I´d like to organize my other goals first, but I might try and do this, who knows.
Thanks for sharing the greatness!
I have so much love for this project, I've seen it around a couple of blogs but didn't know if it was something you were supposed to start on a particular day etc, but it seems not as everyone seems to have started it at any time. I'm going to put it on my list of things to do, which seems to be getting bigger everyday!! I will start it when I have less on, I think :) I love your first two posts, meeting up with friends (and their children!) always makes me happy too xxx
ReplyDeleteWoohooo! :) xxx
