Another tiny tale that comes courtesy of some much happily-received mail yesterday (note how I tried to not write 'post' twice and went American-stylee by choosing to use the word 'mail', then undid the effort I put in trying to think up a word to replace it but telling you this!)
Last week I had a little rummage through Ella's fabulous shop (currently on holiday whilst she focuses on a project) to find myself something to purchase. As some of you may be aware, I own a copy of my lovely friend Paige's zine, and when I saw Ella had also designed one I jumped at the chance to start myself a little collection! They now share pride-of-place on top of our bookshelf and seem to be getting along quite-swimmingly (hmmmm, I'd even dare say those cheeky beardies have their eye on Paige's ladies!)
For those who aren't familiar with Ella's work, she's perfected the art of bearded, tattooed men (although she also draws ladies of the latter variety) and her zine is a collection of illustrated bearded men! It's super cute and fun, much like the lady herself. If you haven't already, please do check out Ella's work, or her blog. She's an absolute peach; a genuinely lovely lady who I have great twitter convos with (mainly about hair and starting girl gangs!). I'm so happy to be able to support her work (and help her reach her 300 sales before the year is out goal - she's already on 229 so I've no doubt she'll quite easily surpass this!)
Do any of you have your own zine or zine collection? If so, post any links or pics in the comments, I'd love to have a look!
